Be A Rebel Today!

There are many programs out there that look like us, but we are the only program in New England that works to improve Pop Warner, AYF and Varsity teams without stealing from them. Now representing 22 different towns, with 200 kids and 2 locations.

Why Choose
Rebels Cheer?

Rebels Cheerleading is a Recreational Cheerleading program that teaches new stunts and introduces kids to cheerleading, regardless of skill levels. It's a 2 hour per week commitment with only 2 local competitions.

Lysa McGovern/Arthur founded the program as an opportunity to give her daughter a cheerleading experience that was different from the hyper competitive nature of all-star gyms, but offered more than a typical town program. Thus, the Rebels program was born.

Lysa has a "mom first" mentality and a passion for teaching which translates into her coaching style. For her, it is all about giving kids the chance to learn and succeed in the sport.

Juniors – Fall Team

On this team, beginner cheerleaders will be learning the basics of cheerleading. This includes 8 counts, basic motions and proper placement, and jumps. Stunting is at chest level and on one leg, with more difficulty being added in stunts that extend above the head on two feet. Pyramids may go above the head on two feet. This team will do beginner choreography for dances and motions, which tends to be a slow pace and consist of simple motions. Tumbling skills up to standing back handspring and running back handspring can be done on this level but are not required.

This team practices 1 day a week for 2 hours at our Southborough location.

Seniors – Fall Team

This is an intermediate team. Most of the cheerleaders on this team will have some experience on lower levels and on this team they will learn/perfect stunts done extended over the head on one leg. Some other stunts may be done at chest level or extended on two legs. This level does not twist out of stunts but they do cradle down. They will also work on perfecting motions and will have medium-difficulty choreography for dance and motions. Tumbling skills up to standing back handspring and running tuck can be done on this level but are not required.

This team practices 1 day a week for 2 hours at our Southborough location.
